We are looking for a Warehouse Lead for our Winnipeg location. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for the inventory control and team management in the warehouse. As the direct point of contact for all warehouse associates, the Warehouse Lead will play a crucial role in team dynamics, troubleshooting, and the overall efficiency and operation of the warehouse functions all while participating in the day to day tasks and workload.
*Location: *Winnipeg, Manitoba
*Compensation: *$48,000.00 to $52,000.00 annually
*Start Date: *ASAP
*What we offer:*
* Facilitate the process of shipments for all incoming and outgoing products and supplies, unloading, storage, labeling in the warehouse
* Loading and unloading product safely and securely from delivery trucks, ensure that product is properly placed and stored
* Responsible for correctly placing product to their respective areas and ensuring efficient preparation for shipment including:
* Picking, scanning, loading customer product
* Packaging or rewrapping product for delivery
* Required to perform general warehouse duties such as maintenance, safety, organization
* Communicating variance, delays, and notices in a timely manner to the appropriate parties
* Maintaining strict inventory control for both incoming and outgoing product
* Delegation of frontline duties to warehouse associates
* Providing direction, scope of work, goal setting, and setting task priority with staff
* Supervision of a team of 2-4 warehouse associates
* Extensive use of computer systems; Proprietary/Windows Based Platform and Google Applications
* Ensuring all Health & Safety processes and procedures are being adhered to at all time including maintenance, inspections and record keeping
* Maintaining security of the building during opening and closing hours
* Provide troubleshooting expertise to the unique issues that arise on the shift
* Develop strong relationships while fostering a cohesive team environment
* Provide training, coaching, and decision making guidance to warehouse associates
* Ad hoc projects
*Qualifications:*
* Strong attention to detail
* Forklift and/or clamp certification an asset
* Due to location and public transit in the area, a vehicle would be an asset
* Excellent verbal communication skills and organization skills
* Excellent leadership skills and critical thinker
* Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
* 1-2 year of logistics/appliances/ hard goods/ warehousing experience (preferred)
* Standing for extended periods of time
* Extensive use of computer systems
* Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 75lbs
* Occasional Saturday work may be required
