Job Title: Elevating Device Mechanic Class B
Location: 44 Medulla Avenue, Etobicoke, Canada
Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm
We are looking for an Elevating Device Mechanic Class B who will be responsible for cleaning of work area, performing preventive maintenance and minor adjustments of assigned equipment.

Responsibilities
- Review approved specifications and elevator maintenance agreements and applicable acts, regulations and codes
- Inspect elevator components and other related building systems
- Getting clearance with TSSA for handing elevator over to customers and ensuring hoists pass on interval inspections/ testing.
- Prepare inspection reports, respond to complaints/queries, review and acting on reports from Technical Standards and Safety Authority
- Installation, Dismantling, Maintenance and repair of elevators including supervision.
- Determine the need for and perform major overhaul or replacement of defective equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Follow appropriate maintenance and service procedures
- Training and mentoring of EDM-T's.
- Lifting requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- EDM-B license mechanic
- Experienced with rack-and-pinion drive systems (ex: Raxtar, RNU, industrial elevators, construction hoist)
- Comfortable working outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficient in the English language with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
